As an intentional but impersonal murderer, ‘Shore Line’ explores the collusion between beach and surf luring the unwary into the sea.

The eternal qualities of the sea contrast with the transitory and temporary endeavours of humankind where – ‘the sea smooths everything to how and where it was before’.

Shore line was filmed in the UK on the north Norfolk coast, Cornwall, the Isle of Wight and Collioure in southern France between 2015 and 2016. The poem was written in Cornwall and the voice recorded in Charlottesville, VA, USA.
