Filmed entirely on mobile phones from the same brief, people around the world supplied shots for ‘International Waters’.

Framing can include some land to show off the location, but the main feature in the shot should be the water. If you are filming a mountain stream, for example, the stream should dominate the shot but the surrounding landscape is equally important. If you’re filming an ocean, maybe it’s the sky and beach or cliffs that add a framing texture. Give a feel of locale within the shot. Please avoid people in shot. If they’re unavoidable, they should seem very small and insignificant compared to the water.
